This stuff is terrible! My 2 month old has pretty bad cradle cap, so I thought I’d try this. It turns out I prefer the cradle cap! I cannot get all the goop off her her sweet little head and it smells awful. I feel like a bad mother when I look at her greasy, clumpy hair. I’m working on getting it all off without annoying her, but after two shampoos it is still there. Yuck!

I bought this with the First Years Cradle Cap brush and let me tell you. I used it 3 times on my 4 month old who had Awful cradle cap and it is 100% gone! It did not stink like some mentioned and after I used this I washed with the regular baby soap and it was all good. I wish I would have tried this 3 mo ago before pictures

Some of the reviews complain about the smell but I think they have changed their formula. It smells like a light flowery lotion, I didn’t think it was bad at all. I tried it for the first time last night and I can already tell a BIG difference. I put it on his scalp, rubbed it in, combed the flakes off, and shampooed his hair. I am very pleased and will use it again tonight!!

Our fifth child is 3 months old and has had cradle cap for a few weeks. I have tried other ways of removing cradle cap with my older children when they had it, but nothing really seemed to work well. I thought this stuff was so cheap that it couldn’t possibly work. During her bath, I put a small amount on my fingers and rubbed it around on her wet head. I then washed the rest of her to give the product a chance to work. I applied some regular baby shampoo to her hair after getting her head wet again. I started to kind of scrub her head with my fingernails and was SHOCKED by the amount of stuff that was coming off of her scalp. Using a little nailbrush, I scrubbed her head gently and could see more of the scales coming loose. I did one more application of regular shampoo to get all the debris off and to reduce the smell and greasiness. Once her head was dry, I could tell that this product really worked. We could see our baby’s beautiful skin once again!
My only complaint is that the smell is a little odd. It’s kind of like baby powder with a hint of moth balls thrown in. But it really isn’t that bad, especially if you do a couple applications of shampoo right after you use it. I am happy with the results and recommend this to other parents of cradle cap cuties.
